#6. Treat yourself to Royalty at the Hawa Mahal

The Charm of the Pink City is further enhanced by the Red and Pink Sandstone work of the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds. Inspired from Khetri Mahal, in the state of Jhunjhunu, Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh visualized and created this royal palace in the city of Jaipur. The Structure that you see in the Pictures is actually the back of the Palace. The real entrance is from behind. The five storey building is quite similar to the honeycomb of the beehive and has 953 small windows which are called Jharokhas. The idea behind the creation of the Hawa Mahal was to enable the women to observe the daily activities and festivities of the city, without being seen by the Public (Since they had to abide by the Purdah system). This is one of the best tourist places in Jaipur.

#7. Taste Authentic Rajasthani Cuisine

For a foodie like me, tasting the Spicy and delectable Rajasthani Cuisine is unabashedly one of the best things to do in Jaipur. When we talk about Rajasthani food, Dal Bati Churma, Ker Sangri, Mirchi Bada, Aloo Pyaz ki sabzi, Missi Roti, Lahsun Ki Chutney, and Laal Maans, are some of the most famous food of Rajasthan. It’s spicy, it’s tangy and it’s special. And it’s spicy for a reason. The spicy food acts as a blood thinner in the hot and dry desert climate of Jaipur and prevents you from a lot of diseases. And the Rajasthani Sweets list sees some of the popular Indian Sweets Recipes like the Rajasthani Ghevar, Atta Ladoo, Balushahi, Gulkand Kaja Jamun, Hare Chane Ka Halwa, and Barfi. Visit 1135 AD and treat yourself to some royalty and eat lie the Maharajas.

Shopping at Jaipur takes you through a world of things. You can shop at the Johari Bazaar the best Jewellery in Rajasthan. While if you are shopping at Bapu Bazaar you must buy the Lac Bangles.
